Refunds & Cancellation

1. Host Cancellations
In the event that a Host cancels a Charcha, participants will receive a 100% refund to their original payment method. Refunds usually reflect within 5–7 business days.
2. Participant Cancellations
- 24+ Hours Notice: Participants may cancel for a full refund.
- Less than 24 Hours: No refunds are issued as the Host has reserved the slot for you.
3. Technical Issues
If a session cannot be completed due to technical failure on the part of the platform or the Host, please report the issue within 24 hours to initiate a refund request.
4. Host No-Show
If a Host fails to join or conduct a scheduled session, all registered participants automatically receive a 100% refund. No action is required from participants — refunds are initiated automatically by the platform. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
5. Escrow Protection
All payments for paid sessions are held in escrow by CharchaCafe until the session is completed and Host attendance is verified. If a session does not take place for any reason, participants are entitled to a full refund. CharchaCafe guarantees fund safety through its escrow mechanism — your money is protected until the session is delivered.
6. Multi-Session Series
- For series charchas, each session is treated independently for refund purposes.
- If one session in a series is not conducted, only that session's fee is refunded.
- Completed sessions are not eligible for refund under the Host No-Show policy.
- Each session payment is held in escrow separately and released only after that specific session concludes.
7. Refund Process
All refunds are processed via Razorpay to the original payment method used during purchase. The refund timeline depends on your bank or payment provider but typically takes 5–7 business days. You will receive a notification when a refund is initiated.
